Autumn 2
This term’s value is demonstrating resilience: from Nursery to Year 6, children are taught that a resilient attitude can help them in all areas of their lives. Early Years and Key Stage 1 children learn that resilience is never giving up and to keep trying. In Key Stage 2, the children begin to learn that a resilient attitude is a ‘keep it up’ attitude, and that this can support them to learn from their mistakes and try new things.

Computing in Year 6 “Year 6 enjoyed their first attempt at 3D modelling today. They build a maze using cubes and cuboids. Really impressive designs and the children grasped designing in 3D space very quickly. Well done everyone!”

We hope that all children, parents, carers, colleagues and friends will enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere at Alfred Sutton Primary School.
It is our firm belief that if parents positively support their child’s education and attendance at school, the very best outcome can be achieved for every pupil. We therefore do everything possible to work in productive partnership with parents, including encouraging open dialogue and warmly welcoming volunteer helpers.
